Birds sing out, only, thrilling creation.
Every branch, reaching upward. Do I?
Tree roots deep, weaving, hidden sharing.
Each leaf open, vulnerable, receiving light.
blades of Grass, too many for me to count…
inside one square inch!
Reality beneath above measure…. and me?
shades of Green, infinite, beyond. Abundance…
“That rock’s holding itself, in cellular embrace!”
Unaffected? Steadfast
Time Outside, Patient
… streams flow, in movement endless, widening …
aligned, gravitation pulling
from skies in nourishment
toward rivers, lakes, oceans
in nourishment, into skies
Acquiescent Radiance, Naturally within Content.
Sacred both -- Life and Death and Life -- One Reality
Spring happens, every year after winter
morning, after night
following sleep, I dawn
time spirals, forever now
Faces turn springing up, new, upward and outward with
me, you, humankind, nature, the divine Source of being…

Here's my poem again, this time illustrated...
Birds sing out, only, thrilling creation.
Every branch, reaching upward. Do I?
Each leaf open, vulnerable, receiving light.
blades of Grass, too many for me to count…
inside one square inch!
shades of Green, infinite, beyond.
Abundance...
“That rock’s holding itself, in cellular embrace!”
Unaffected? Steadfast
Time Outside, Patient
(I know ... but still, broken, this stone struggles to remain intact!)
… streams flow, in movement endless, widening …
aligned, gravitation pulling
from skies in nourishment
toward rivers, lakes, oceans
in nourishment, into skies
Sacred both -- Life and Death and Life -- One Reality
Spring happens, every year after winter
morning, after night
following sleep, I dawn
time spirals, forever now
Faces turn springing up, new, upward and outward with
me, you, humankind, nature, the divine Source of being…
Participate with Life in the abundant Beauty of each Spring day
from the sacred moment of Dawn....
